The National Planning Committee for NAWS II is comprised of representatives of the five National Aboriginal Organizations (the Native Women's Association of Canada, the Assembly of First Nations, the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples, Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami and the Métis National Council), along with Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada, the National Association of Friendship Centres, the National Aboriginal Circle Against Family Violence and representatives from the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, the Government of the Northwest Territories, the Native Women's Association of the Northwest Territories and the Status of Women Council of the Northwest Territories.
